Five years folks! That’s right, for five years in a row, Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill left the Clearwater Threshers Wing Fest with the King of the Wing title.
On July 16th, a crowd of more than 2,500 people decided that the restaurant chain's Clearwater location had the tastiest wings in town! To earn such a fabulous title, Smokey Bones had to beat out wing-famous restaurants such as the city's original Hooters and Largo-born WingHouse. To accomplish something like this and more than once, it must be true! Smokey Bones really must have the tastiest wings around.
If you’re a huge chicken wing fan like myself, I’m sure you’re wondering at this point, what makes Smokey Bones wings better than the rest? Unfortunately, I have never worked in the Smokey Bones kitchen, but I have enjoyed Smokey Bones wings many times and can tell you that these delicious wings are slow smoked, rubbed and smothered with a sweet glaze! We don't have a Smokey Bones in our area. My husband and oldest son both love wings so no doubt they'd be up for checking the place out if we did.

My husband loves wings so he would love this place. They look like they have a very tasty menu.

My husband and sons would flip with a wingfest like that! Oh do they love their chicken wings! I will have to let them know about this so we can plan for a trip there the next time they have an event like that! Leave a Reply. |
