Boscov’s Erie, PA ~ Now Open

Here at The Trophy WifeStyle , we get invited to a lot of posh events. Here’s what usually happens: people mill around, chit chatting with their smartphones in their hands Instagraming away, all while feigning a socially acceptable measure of interest in the event itself. Then, once you feel you snapped all the Insta-worthy pics you can possibly take, you plan your exit.

This was definitely not the case this past Thursday at the Gala Preview for the new Boscov’s in Erie, PA! My husband and I had never seen so many people in line for the dressing rooms and every cashier had a huge line checking guests out! People were genuinely excited for Boscov’s and buying everything in site. Definitely awesome to see!

We figured if we popped in right when the Boscov’s Gala Preview started at 10, we would have the whole store to our selves. Joke was totally on us since the parking lot was full way before the Boscov’s Gala Preview even started! Exciting to see since most malls are closing their doors due to online shopping and in Erie, the mall is still the place to be! Thank god we will hopefully forever have a fabulous place to shop!

To enter the Preview Gala on Thursday, everyone who chose to get an exclusive sneak-peak of the store before opening to the public 10/7, had to make a $5 donation to a local non-profit of their choice. We were invited by Boscov’s to cover the event, but chose to make a donation anyway to Kaleidoscope Erie, Pa. A non-profit that provides Knowledge, Advocacy and Support for individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

​Boscov's is a family-owned department store with 50+ locations in the eastern United States. Their newest location being right inside the Millcreek Mall in Erie, Pa! If you’re a neighbor of mine in Jamestown, just a short car ride away!

Boscov’s sells everything from designer brands like Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger & Calvin Klein! Sporty gear from Adidas, Nike & Reebok. Even home goods and appliances! O, and I can’t forget all the My Little Pony gear I spotted in the children’s section. The new My Little Pony movie hit theaters yesterday, so your kiddos will definitely want their favorite characters on everything! Head on over to Boscov’s to snag it before it’s too late!

Wear contacts or glasses?!?! You can get your eyes checked at the Boscov’s Optical Center!! So many chic frames to choose from, from brands like Coach & Ray Ban!

My husband and I received a $250 gift card to shop with during the Boscov’s Gala Preview as a thankyou for covering the event, so boy did we shop until we dropped! Just for showing up to the Boscov’s Gala Preview, everyone who stepped inside received a free gift. My husband and I both received a set of oven gloves. Since I’m a wannabe chef, these will definitely get some use! One can never have too many pairs.

My husband is a huge sports fan, so he was pretty shocked to see one of his favorite college basketball teams, Duke, sitting on a shelf in Pennsylvania! You best believe he scooped a hoodie & for under $20! A bargain for sports team gear if you ask me!

My husband also had a Nike/Jordan obsession, so when he saw Nike quarter zips, he had to toss one into our cart!

Nike Hoodies were also on sale! 25% off! Can’t beat that.

We also walked by a killer deal on men’s long sleeve shirts! $7.99!!!! So hubby had to buy one of each color in his size. Perfect for under sweatshirts & vest!

Now on to my finds!!! There was literally so much I wanted to buy that I almost wished I didn’t invite my husband so I didn’t have to split the gift card with anyone lol!!!! One of my finds was a Calvin Klein black vest. I have been on the search for a vest with gold hardware FOREVER, so I was pretty stoked when I stumbled upon one at the Boscov’s Gala Preview.

$9.99 sweaters in the juniors department!!! I repeat $9.99 sweaters!!!!! This fabulous sweater looks like a t-shirt, but is warm and fuzzy like a sweater! Even has a removable necklace attached.  I wish they had it in more colors besides grey. I would have purchased them all!!!

Just like the sweaters, the  turtlenecks were $9.99 in the juniors section. They are super warm, cute and fuzzy!!!! Super long as well, so they will look perfect under my new black Calvin Klein vest!

Since I happen to live where I swear it’s winter year round, I had to grab a black winter hat. That snow will be here before we know it.

And last but not least, my ultimate find!!!! A wine glass that holds an entire bottle of wine!!!! If you’re on any of my social accounts or my personal Facebook page, then you most likely already know about my obsession with my newest wine glass!!! I was drinking from it last night and posting all about it on my personal page! I even had non-local friends saying they are making a road trip to Erie just for the glass lol.... Best thing ever and it was 50% off!

A lot of killer deals at Boscov’s Erie that’s for sure! With Monday being a holiday, I suggest making it a family shopping day and try and score those killer deals! You’re kiddos will love you and your bank account will love you even more because you saved so much on name brand items!
