I am beyond jealous that today's college students don't have to wait in ridiculous lines and hope to find used copies of text books! When I started college WAY back in the dinosaur age, 2002, there weren't many options for text books. It was either you go to the campus bookstore and keep your fingers and toes crossed that they have a used copy of what you're looking for, or shell out full price for a brand spanking new one! I was very lucky that my parents had a college fund for me & I didn't necessarily pay out of my own pocket for these things, but having to cough up amillion dollars & sometimes more, a semester just for books did hurt me when it came to other things that had to be paid for! I was always pinching pennies tying to make my college money for that semester stretch because books were so god damn expensive!
That was over amillion years ago so I can only imagine what text books threw the campus bookstores cost today! Today's college students now have the luxury of using such services such as Campus Book Rentals! When you rent books from Campus Book Rentals it's just like having your very own book without the extra costs and having an unneeded expensive book at the end of the semester. I can't be the only one that ever purchased a text book only to be told at the end of the semester that they were switching text the following semester so you couldn't sell the book at the end -_- swear that was a curse of mine because it happened way too often -_- Campus Books Allows you to highlight in the rented text books Flexible rental periods! Great for any college! Free shipping BOTH WAYS! SAVE 40 to 90% off books! ( STOP OVER PAYING THE COLLEGE NOW they have enough of your money) They also donate to an awesome organization called Operation Smile Operation Smile is a medical organization that helps children born with cleft palates.
Do you already own expensive text books? Campus Book Rentals now has an amazing program called Rent Back. The programs allows college students to rent textbooks they already own to other college students.
Again back when I was in college the school book store would offer pennies for a book that was in new condition that I previously bought new for $300! This Rent Back option will allow the owner to make two to four times the money than what the school book store would offer to buy their books! Pretty sweet if you ask me!!!
Long story short! All you kiddos going into college, you don't know how lucky you are to have book options like Campus Book Rentals & Rent Back! Totally wish they were around in the dinosaur age ;-)

Seriously, I wish this had been around when I was in college. When I think about all the money I spent on text books that they would not buy back at the end of the semester, I could cry.

I am happy to hear Amazon has become a market for used college books. That will help many students who are hurting for cash continue their education.

I think renting text books is genius. They are so experience! If a student can make a little of that investment back, that's awesome.

Campus book rentals are a great help for parents sending their kids to college. I wish they had something like this during my college days. I would also like to applaud them for having Operation Smile as a beneficiary of their program.

I think that renting books for college like this is the way to go. I was fortunate enough to attend a university that allowed us to rent the books from the book store for our classes. It really saves a lot of money and keeps your house from getting cluttered up with books that you won't need after the classes end.
