As most of you know that follow my Instagram, my parents live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area! So several times a year you get a little dose of Texas Spam!!!!! So much to do in the area and I can’t help but share all the fun with y’all!!!!. I always tell everyone that I would do anything to move back to Orlando, the place I coinsider home, but honestly, Dallas comes in a close second. Such a lovely area!!!! I wouldn’t mind living there one bit!!!! Christmas Capital of Texas! This last trip to Dallas over Thanksgiving, my dad suggested taking my daughter to Grapevine! The Christmas Capital of Texas!!! The suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth is literally a 10 minute drive from his home in Trophy Club so I was like sure! Let’s check it out. Boy were we in for a treat! I wasn’t expecting all the fabulousness we were about to encounter! Grapevine Texas is literally an Instagramers dream location! With more than 1,400 events in 40-plus days, and insta-worth props spread throughout the town, Grapevine's charming holiday setting makes the city the "Christmas Capital of Texas." All I kept thinking was this would be the perfect place to snap a Christmas card!!! So many fabulous props and backdrops to choose from!!! Christmas on MainMain Street in downtown Grapevine is literally the most charming downtown areas in the US!!!! Reminded me of a town set back in time. Love the old fashioned feel!!!!! I also couldn’t get over all the fabulous shopping in the little boutiques. It is especially charming at Christmas, when every store is decked out in lights, ribbons and bows. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from November 28 through December 21, downtown comes alive with tractor-drawn wagon rides and entertainment. You can get a wagon ride from the Gazebo for $1 per person from 2 to 5 pm, Fridays; noon to 5 pm, Saturdays; and 1 to 4 pm, Sundays. Head to the Gazebo every Saturday afternoon in December from noon to 1 pm for live free entertainment!! You can also ride the famous Polar Express train and see jolly old Saint Nick at the train station thanks to the awesome folks at Great Wolf Lodge hosting those activities!!! As you stroll along Main Street in the heart of Grapevine, TX, you will also find loads of locations looking extra festive with fabulous decorations, designated as great photo op spots for the holidays. These areas can be found at Liberty park (215 S Main Street), the Christmas tree at the Gazebo (325 S Main Street), North Pole Neighborhood (705 S Main Street) and at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center (636 S Main Street). If waking through town, just type those addresses into your phone GPS and you will be set! Honestythough, everything is pretty easy to find! I doubt you will need assistance! Opinion! If you couldn’t tell, my family had a blast!!!! So much to do you almost run out of time. I love it when that happens. Our day was so jam packed with fun, making memories that will last a lifetime. If you plan on hitting up the Christmas Capital of Texas, you will want to purchase all of your event tickets on advance. While all the photo ops are free and there are dozens of restaurants to dine at without large waits, activities like the Polar Express train ride so sell out. We had so much fun that we will definitely be going back next Christmas season. Only change will be all of our tickets will be purchased in advance. That way we won’t be bummed when we find out the train is sold out. It will be sold out, but we will lnvine on board with our pre purchased tickets, so we won’t care lol..... If you are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area around Christmas, definitely check out Grapevine. You will have a blast & your Instagram account will be looking lit!!
