Happy almost summer y’all!!!! Living in Western New York we are counting down the days to fabulous weather all winter long!!! We get 3 months a year when sunshine and warmth grace us with its presence, so we are so grateful once it arrives!!!
One of the reasons I’m constantly craving beautiful weather is because I’m obsessed with hosting BBQ’s. Yes, you will see WNY’ers outside grilling in 10ft of snow, but let’s be real. There is nothing fun about that. A real bbq is when you get together with your besties and chill in the backyard grubbing on amazing food while laughing and smiling at your awesome company. Since BBQ’s are a favorite pastime of mine, I thought I would share my Epic BBQ Tips with y’all!!! I promise by applying these tips, everyone will be talking about your epic BBQ all summer long!!! 1. Snacks!
Snacks! I swear this is a detail so many people overlook. Yes, people will rave about your burgers and awesome salads! But what about snacks? When you have guests laughing and drinking the night away, people need something to munch on! Having a bag of the newly released RITZ Crisp & Thins Barbecue and Cheddar varieties is my secret weapon!!
RITZ Crisp & Thins are the perfect grab-and-go, no mess snack!!! They are delicious on their own, making for a great addition to all your summertime gatherings! Who doesn’t love cheese!?! And BBq?!? Omg yum!!!!! I just love it when I can grab something super simple, yet totally delicious at my local Walmart!! I can then focus on my main course knowing my snacks are still killing it flavor-wise!!!
Another AWESOME perk to serving RITZ Crisp & Thins is they contain 50% less fat!!! Not one person can complain. Your bestie on her diet will be pleased and so will your foodie bestie since they are insanely good! Have leftovers? RITZ Crisp & Thins also make a great road trip or pool day snack addition!!!!
2. Drinks
Make sure you have drinks for everyone! Yes, most people think of beer and wine when they hear the word BBQ, but it’s not rare for people to be non-drinkers these days. Just because someone isn’t drinking something boozy, doesn’t mean the don’t want something epic to drink! Grab some lemonade or maybe even watermelon juice! Any kids in attendance will appreciate this too. No one wants bottled water unless they are dehydrated ;-)
3. Simple Foods
I’m a foodie, so this is one difficult tip for me to share. Go with basic foods! It’s crazy how many people hate flavors and sauces. When you stick to the basics, everyone is happy! No one will go hungry because you marinated everything in the latest viral Pinterest creation! Some people just aren’t into that!
4. Yard
Make sure to have your yard looking fabulous. Create a cool aumbiance. People love posting to the gram, so give people a backdrop for that! Pull the weeds, mow the lawn and clean up the toys/odds and ends. People don’t expect perfection, but decluttering the yard will make it look much nicer than a messy yard. Also spraying off your furniture and patio if messy or sticky is so important!! Nobody wants to sit in a pile of bird poop.
5. Citronella
If you live in a place where mosquitoes like to come out at night (like my house), then have bug spray available and citronella candles. Tiki torches are a great investment since they not only look festive, but they keep the bugs away, smell nice, and create light. Your guest will be thankful when they wake up the next day with minimal mosquito bites!!
Giveaway Time!!!
