I’m constantly complaining about not having time to do it all. When I started my blog I figured by the time my daughter goes to Kindergarten I would have figured out how to make this my full time job. That was years away, so I figured I had all the time in the world. Well the universe had a different plan & when Haylie was 2, bam! I all of a sudden went from stay at home mom with a cool hobby I sometimes made money form, to a work at home mom with a website that takes 60 hours most weeks to run. It was that point that I had to make the decision, do I put my child in school? Or do I put my website on pause?
Knowing that you usually only get one shot at things like this my hubby and I decided school 5 days a week was the answer. Plus the newly added income was pretty sweet!!! We forgot how comfortable life was with two pay checks! But at the age of 2 & even now at the age of 3, school is only 4-5 hours long. Being an over protective mommy of one, I refuse to put my daughter in daycare. The stories I see on the news just scare me to death, so I would just have to make this all work with the few hours each day I get to myself & any other random time I can find. Unfortunately I was given the curse of being a helicopter mom. I just have to keep my eyes on Haylie at all times to make sure she isn't doing anything dangerous, hence the reason why I feel I never have enough time to do anything! My eyes are always glued on her and not my messy kitchen or that post that is due. Multitasking is impossible sometimes.
When Haylie was an infant we were given a video monitor at my baby shower, but the thing literally collected dust! My child literally slept threw the night when she was an infant & on the rare once maybe twice a week she would wake up, I was in the room right next door and could hear every peep she ever made. Naps? She would put herself down for one! My child literally loves sleep and still does to this day. Kind of making video monitors pointless back then so I gifted the monitors off to a bestie.
Fast forward to now! Work at home mom with helicopter mom syndrome with a crazy, gets into everything 3 year old! I totally wish I would of held on to that monitor! Not one person warned me that such things as monitors will be used up until idk the teenage years?
Thankfully Levana grounded me by giving me the ability to see my princess and get work done. In fact I’m watching my princess play right now as I write this post. Kinda nice to get work done while she does what toddlers do best, play :):) Maybe now I won't be up half the night trying to meet deadlines now that I can watch Haylie & hear every noise she makes from my home office. Life just got a lot easier for me thanks to Levana.
