I'm not sure if it's because I follow a ton of food bloggers or if these things really are that "in" at the moment, but my Instagram feed has been flooded with Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls!!! After seeing the 527929th post, Haylie & I just had to whip some up of our own! Figured it would make for a great brunch post since Valentine's does fall on a Sunday this year. I bet so many people end up having cute brunch dates!!!! Can't wait to see the pics all over Instagram:)
Haylie & I were totally going to make these last Sunday so we could share with y'all our heart shaped fabulousness, but hubby surprised us with deliciousness he picked up from one of our favorite places. Only thing better than heart cinnamon rolls is brunch I didn't have to cook myself. Thank you for being a good hubby that day Matt ;-) You earned a gold star.
So when Haylie came home from school the other day we decided to make Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls for a snack. Hey, it might not of been as fabulous as brunch, but snack would get the job done.
Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls really are super easy to make! Just make sure you buy cinnamon rolls you can unroll. Unroll them, and simply shape them into a heart. Your hands WILL end up covered in cinnamon, so don't be surprised if your hands end up looking like mine above ;-)
After your shaped your Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls, just follow the directions on the packaging for baking time and temperature. I told ya, easy peasy!
Once your Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls are done baking, let them cool for afew minutes, especially if you are baking with little ones. You don't want them to burn themselves.
Once cool enough to touch, frost away!!!!
And if you're brave enough, let your kiddo sprinkle away! I don't know which is worse, kids with sprinkles or kids with glitter. As you can see my Princess definitely went sprinkle crazy, but regardless, our Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls came out looking wayyyy adorable :)

Swirling the dough into hearts instead of the traditional circle is so simple and brilliant. I can't believe I never thought to do this.
