My hubby & I NEVER agree on yummy places to eat. He's more chicken finger while I'm filet mignon. At this point in life we have both come to the conclusion that only one of us will be happy while dinning out since our tastes buds are really that opposite when it comes to food. One of the few mutual favies of ours however just happens to be hibachi! I can get my steak fix & hubby can eat that yum yum sauce he's obsessed with.
Then the worst thing ever happened!!!! My daughter turned four and all of a sudden decided she is now afraid of fire?!?! Freaks out when the chef does the onion volcano, which makes absolutely no sense since we have been taking her since she was a newborn & she had always laughed at the onion volcano. Swear she's making this fear up, but regardless, unless we get a babysitter, no hibachi until my child stops freaking at the onion volcano.
Since we can no longer dine at our mutual favie restarant, I had been buying bottles of yum yum sauce for my hubby. Then one day I flipped the bottle over to see exactly what yum yum sauce was.... I was shocked to find out that the sauce is basically just mayo & ketcup mixed together! That's right, ingredents that you most likely have in your kitchen. I then googled to see if this was what yum yum sauce was everywhere & yes indeed it is....
So so if yum yum sauce is your fancy, then this recipe is for you!
2 Cups of Mayonnaise
½ Cup Ketchup
3 Tbs Sugar
1 Tbs Garlic Powder
1 Tbs Paprika
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ Cup of water
Mix all of your ingredents together, minus the water.
After everything is mixed, mix in you water.
And that's literally it! So simple, so yummy, you literally have no excuse NOT to make it ;-)
