So I have a confession to make! I may be slightly obsessed with all things fashion. Ok, so maybe that was an obvious observation since the name of my site is The Trophy WifeStyle, but still, the amount of hours I spend flipping through the pages of my favorite fashion magazines each month might frighten most. The fashion obsession (addiction) is totally real & my bank account totally hates me for it!

The key to keeping up with the latest trends is to be one of the first people rocking a particular look. That way you get the most bang for your buck since you can wear that particular look longer than a week. If you catch onto something early enough, you can get a whole season out of a necklace, shoe or handbag before the trend is no longer relevant.

​Back in June JCK hosted a jewelry show in Las Vegas where jewelers and industry leaders gathered. Naturally, the outcome of this show resulted in fabulous new trends! JCK composed a Trend Report & I was fortunate enough to be one of the lucky people they sent this report to!

Below are my favorites from the report, so you, my totally awesome and fabulous readers can know about the latest trends & start incorporating them into your wardrobe BEFORE your besties do!

I will start with pearls! I have been a huge pearl fan my whole life!! I'm not one for traditional jewelry as in diamonds, ruby's etc... hubby would always buy these types of pieces for me since all guys feel obligated to do so because of the nonstop commercials telling them that's what they need to do & I would rarely wear them. Eventually I suggested pearls to him! I LOVE pearls, especially larger, statement kind of pieces. If he was going to shell out that kind of cash for jewelry pieces, they mind as well be for things I would actually wear right? So when I saw JCK claim modern pearls are in, I definitely jumped with joy! I liked a specific style for so long it's now officially in ;-) Definitely be prepared to see me dressing up my denim looks with pearls & even glamming up my Sunday best even more! This is a look I totally endorse.

This next trend I thought was a fun one! Exotic jewelry pieces have always been conversation starters for me since I'm a known world traveler! People always assume these types of pieces must of came from a random adventure of mine when truth be told, 75% of the time that was not the case. For me, this trend means incorporating more larger gold pieces into my looks & maybe booking that exotic cruise I have been eyeing to pick up more of these pieces that actually have a back story to them ;-)

This next trend is one that all of us fashion magazine obsessed gals have known about for awhile. We saw the look on the runways & we have been patiently waiting for it to arrive on the non-million dollar a piece market. I'm actually in love with the whole geometric look since you can basically glam up any basic & totally boring look & transform that look into a very feminine & total runway worthy look ! So throw on that plain Jane dress that has been collecting dust, grab your favorite geometric necklace covered in gemstones and hit up that dinner party knowing you will totally slay the night!

This next look I hope to incorporate a lot into my fall wardrobe. The industrial art look & it's black diamonds, matte finishes and chainmail will look killer with the dark makeup and nail trends that come with fall! I already have quite the extensive collection of black diamonds, but I may just let hubby hit up the jewelers and spoil me with more of these precious gems all in the name of fashion. Just be careful with this look, the wrong chainmail can come off tacky. The quality of the metal is totally key. Buying too cheap might look exactly that, cheap!
