Thank you LEGOLAND Florida for hosting our stay! Have you ever traveled anywhere that you assumed when booking the trip it would be a vacation for everyone besides yourself? That’s how I originally felt when booking our LEGOLAND Florida portion of our Orlando trip in July. I was more of a princess who loved to play pretend when I was a little girl, where as my daughter and hubby are the ones with engineer type minds that love to build. Then something happened. We checked into LEGOLAND Beach Retreat and within hours I was in love. Everything really was awesome and I can’t wait to go back next year! Here are my favorite parts of the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat! 1. Check In From Your Car!Thats right folks! You do not need to leave your vehicle to check in. I don’t know about you, but I HATE parking, lugging the family into a hotel lobby only to find out we now need to load all of our crap back into the car and drive to the complete opposite side of the resort to find our room. LEGOLAND has made checking in stress free by having a drive thru check in. Just tell the person at the security gate your name. Hand them your credit card for incidentals and drive off to your LEGO Bungalow. 2. Outdoor Play AreasDo your kids have entirely too much energy, but heading back to the theme park or even the pool sounds like too much work? Each group of LEGO bungalows forms a circle with a playground in the middle of each lot of bungalows! So grab that book you have been wanting to read, but haven’t found the time to start since you have been go Go GO the whole trip and send the kids to the playground while you watch from the LEGO Bungalow patio with that book in your hand! 3. Stay In A LEGO BungalowThis is probably the most obvious reason why one would want to stay at LEGO Beach Retreat, but you get to stay in a LEGO BUNGALOW!!! How many people can say they stayed in a LEGO house? Probably no one you know. Heck, I posted this exact photo on my Instagram account and so many people liked/saved my photo I ended up on the explorer/popular page. Safe to say I earned a few cool points from my followers due to staying in the most AWESOME place ever ;-) 4. Bunk Beds & LEGO!As you already know, my family was huge fans of the outside of the bungalow and as soon as we opened the door, we were greeted by a huge LEGO mural covering the wall over the King bed. So much attention to detail, right down to the light fixtures and the LEGO sea creatures on the wall. The best part of the Bungalow however goes to the additional room! Pull back a privacy LEGO theme curtain and there is a fun room for the kids to sleep, with bunk beds another big mural and most exciting of all, a box of LEGO to play with! 5. Sandy Play AreaLocated in the pool area, there just happens to be a sandy play area for building sandcastles, bean bag toss games and a playground. I don’t know about you, but my all time favorite activity when on vacation is having a delicious cocktail in my hand while chilling poolside. While kids add so much more fun to vacations, they fo however make it literally impossible to enjoy that poolside drink. You need to keep those eyes on your swimming child! Having a sandy play area next to the pool is genius! Once the kids have splashed the afternoon away, send them to the sandy play area for even more fun so you can finally enjoy that poolside cocktail since your kids are safe building sandcastles! They cans drown in sand ;-) 6. LEGO In The Swimming PoolMy favorite part of any resort is the pool! It’s always the number one thing I check when making hotel reservations! My family is all about the mermaid life, so we were pretty ecstatic when we saw how awesome the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Pool was! We had a blast splashing away and my daughter couldn’t get enough of the floating LEGOS! We always joke that she’s going to grow up to be an engineer. She is literally the poster child for LEGO. Her other favorite activity is swimming. So building LEGO in water? My daughter was in paradise! We live quite a distance from the Legoland Beach Retreat, but if we do ever find ourselves in Florida next summer, we will make sure we get to experience the place.
