​This is definitely one of those post that puts one of those big dorky smiles with the googly eyes on my face! Not just because I had a box of fabulous hair care products sitting on my doorstep one afternoon, even though that is a spectacular reason to smile ;-) But because this is the actual hair care line I use! I have been using Nexxus New York Salon Care for close to 10 years, minus that little organic everything stint I went through when I dyed my hair black. Long story short, when the brands you know and love want to work with you, you know you're doing something right! The American Dream of if you ask me hehe.

​I'm not great at giving myself compliments,so bare with me here as I go on what I feel is a total brag-fest, but one things I'm known for is my fabulous hair! A day doesn't go by without someone saying something smile-worthy about my golden locks. I wish I could say "I woke up like this", but the truth is while yes, I am a natural blonde so my hair doesn't have to go through a harsh processes to lighten when coloring, my hair wouldn't look this healthy if it wasn't for Nexxus New York Salon Care!

​A few years back I decided to give the individual micro bead hair extensions a try! Celebs like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and pretty much all of my early 2000's idols were rockin them, so I had to rock them too! Hair going down to almost my butt sounded amazing, plus it was totally in at the time.

​Unfortunately for me it was a complete nightmare! They made my hair fall out, which my stylist that put them in (If you're in Orlando, Shala, Britney's Spears’ stylist from her Disney days!) and I couldn't figure out why? When we went to remove the horrible things they totally shredded my hair! I had a head full of split ends to the point I had to cut my locks!

​As you can see my hair before extensions, not that bad, so to be going through all of this made me cry nonstop! What was supposed to be this fun and glamorous experience had turned into the complete opposite!

​I apologize for not having the greatest of photos to share of my hair after the extension nightmare, but let's just say I tried to avoid cameras as much as possible during this time of mourning! My hair was a damaged mess that resembled an over grown bowl cut!

​This was the time in my life that I became a legit product junkie! If a hair care line promised fabulous hair in weeks, I gave it a try. If you ever have a question on a hair product, chances are I gave it a try and can give you my honest opinion.

​That's when I stumbled across Nexxus New York Salon Care! I had heard of the line before, but never gave it that much thought because it wasn't something I saw on the shelf at my salon. On a random trip to Walgreens to get lash glue, I saw a huge display of Nexxus New York Salon Care shampoo & conditioner because it was the sale of the week, so I decided to give it a try!

​Who knew that little Walgreens run would change my life! After only using Nexxus New York Salon Care once I could already feel a difference. My hair was so soft! Something I hadn't felt in a long time since my head was one giant split end! After just a few weeks my hair started to actually grow in healthy and I was feeling optimistic about the future of my locks! I was now a Nexxus New York Salon Care gal for life!

​This is my hair today! As you can see, pretty fab! I do wear one, only one! Sewn in track in the middle of my head to add extra volume to get the whole Texas hair look, but 90% of what you see here is my actual hair! Thank you Nexxus New York Salon Care or keeping my locks glam!

​This right here is the Shampoo & Conditioner that saved my hair!!! This is their more moisture-intense product so it is perfect for those of you that might of had a bad dye job that left your hair frizzy, or those of you who live in the pool during the summer and your hair ends up a dried up mess because of it! The silicon free formula weightlessly detangles as well! The Therappe & Humectress is seriously like putting lotion on your hair. Instant softness after the first use!

​After falling in love with the shampoo & condtioner, the next product I decided to try was the hair masque! It was again, love at first use since it added that extra moisture my hair needed! I use this twice a week & whenever I get my hair wet in the pool. You will seriously be petting your head because of how soft your hair is after using!

​This light-weight mist is a newbie to me! I honestly have no idea how I have been a fan of this line for years and didn't know this existed?!? If you're a girl who wears extensions, or like me that has a track in, this mist is a fake hair life saver! I kid you not, misting this stuff on any fake hair will make the hair last longer! Aka~ saving you $$$ in the long run!!!! Since obviously fake hair doesn't get the moisture our real hair gets from our scalps, this stuff adds that moisture without that greasy feeling most other products leave behind.

​My secret to smooth looking hair when I'm rocking a ponytail? This right here. Not only does caviar give your hair a sleek look, it adds some moisture for a soft hair feel while also giving it some manageability to style it.

Honestly, I'm not a dry shampoo user. I know how in trendy of me!!!! So this was a product I never used until receiving it in the mail. Just like every other product in this line though, it was a win! I won't be buying this for myself since as I mentioned I just don't do dry shampoo, but it is perfect to use for my daughter’s hair since she loves to fight me when it comes to washing her locks. She lives in our pool during the summer, so this dry shampoo definitely does the trick! Now if I were to ever change my ways and need a dry shampoo, this would totally be the one!

The Maxximum Finish Mist is probably my most used Nexxus New York Salon Care product. This is ideal for voluminous blow outs and textured waves. Or if you want to rock a big Texas hair ponytail like myself ;-) I get a frizz free finish, so my hair looks bouncy and has a lot of volume without the crunchy or stiff look.

Another product my Texas hair ponytail has to thank for its volumizing look is this Mousse! I remember being a kid and thinking mousse was for old people! Either I'm that old now, or I was silly for thinking such a thing because Texas hair wouldn't be possible without this mousse! It weightlessly supports my hair for lasting volume and natural buoyancy and is formulated with a unique polymer complex to prevent loss of style.
