I just love this time of year!!!!! My house looks fabulous decked out in all my glittery holiday decor. The Christmas tree shimmers away lighting up my living room. The fireplace is looking festive as ever with the stockings waiting to be filled by Santa. The sent of freshly baked cookies lingers in the air. My calendar is filled with nonstop holiday parties & let's not forget all the shopping!!! Nothing makes me more happy than seeing the smiles on people's faces after unwrapping something they weren't expecting to get. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
I don't know about you, but one thing that ends up taking the back burner during the holidays is my foot regiment. I really don't know why, but I have always found the task of foot care, tedious & have made it a point to just head to the salon and pay someone to glam up my feet every other week. Unfortunately, as much as I love it when my feet are soft and beautiful, when your days are filled with non-stop family holiday fun, there just isn't time in the day to go chill at the nail salon for an hour or two. My nail lady can get to chatting & as much as I love juicy girl talk, I just don't have time for that when I have a schedule packed with holiday fun! So I end up burying my once glamorous feet in big ole fuzzy socks & boots until my schedule eases up a bit after New Years.
This holiday season I decided that hiding my feet due to lack of self care was just ridiculous!!!! I shouldn't be embarrassed about something as silly as feet & deserve to have shoe freedom!!!!! I have a closet full of cute shoes wanting to make appearances at these holiday parties!!!! Heck, I might just want to rock a pair that shows a little toe ;-) So to keep my feet feeling soft even during the winter crazy busy months, I ran into my local Target to grab the The Amopé® Pedi Perfect™ Electric Foot & Nail File (available in all Target stores). The Amopé® Pedi Perfect™ Electric Foot & Nail File are so easy peasy to use & totally blonde proof. They keep my feet soft and beautiful and my nails, naturally shiny!!! The best part? They only take a few minutes use. We all have a few minutes we can spare for the sake of our cute shoes.
Another thing I added to my daily beauty regimen is a homemade Peppermint Foot Scrub! I made a big ole jar of the stuff and keep it in my shower. While showering I will scrub my feet making sure my feet are looking fab 24/7 without taking an additional time out of my day!!!!
Supplies
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil 5-10 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil Food Coloring (optional)
Pour your sugar, coconut oil, peppermint oil & food coloring into a bowl.
Mix well. You want to make sure your coconut oil and sugar are evenly mixed. This might take a few minutes to achieve depending on how liquified/at room temperature your coconut oil is.
Pour into jars. I used a mason jar since it has a lid that is easy to take on and off!
If you want to get fancy I even have a label you can print out and attach to your jar at the bottom of the post!!!
Taking care of your feet is something we all need to remember to do!! Need a fabulous gift idea for the girly girl on your shopping list?!? Or maybe you still need to check Mom or Grandma off?!?! This holiday season, give the gift of soft, beautiful feet and naturally shiny nails with the The Amopé® Pedi Perfect™ Electric Foot & Nail File & pair them with a jar of my Peppermint Foot Scrub!
If giving the gift of soft, beautiful feet and naturally shiny nails sound like the holiday route you want to take or if you are like me and want to wear fabulous shoes this holiday season, head to Target and pick up your The Amopé® Pedi Perfect™ Electric Foot & Nail File in the beauty section!!! Lucky for us, they just happen to be on sale so you will see a large display on the end of an aisle in the beauty section!
One more thing, before you head to Target, make sure you have the Cartwheel app downloaded on your smartphone & use this fantastic Cartwheel offer and save 10% on all gadgets (valid from 11/13 until the end of the year)! You're welcome ;-)

I love that you used food coloring in your peppermint foot scrub! Very cool. I have a lemon sugar scrub that I use on my hands but never thought to color it. :) What a nice compliment your scrub is to the Amope! #client
