One of my all time favorite restaurants has to be The Melting Pot! Totally obsessed since it's a whole
Restaurant based on another obsession of mine, CHEESE!!!!! It's probably a fabulous thing the closest one to me is an hour and a half away because both my waistline & bank account would be disasters if it were any closer.
My hubby however is a cheese hater. That's right HATER! How someone can hate cheese is beyond me, so getting him to try fondu.... Hahaha.... Yeah... not happening!
Then one mighty fine afternoon I scrolling Instagram & someone was cooking up a fondu using marinara sauce & cheese. It was that moment it hit me. PIZZA FONDU! Hubby loves pizza regardless of the topping he claims to hate. Pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese & pepperoni mixed in my handy dandy fondu pot? He would have to give that a try! It's pizza in a pot! No excuses now.
Such an easy peasy thing to whip up! I literally just took two jars of pizza sauce & threw them in the pot.
Bought a normal bag of pepperoni & sliced the pepperonis into fours so they would be easy to scoop with the bread once in the pot.
Once all sliced up, tossed the pepperoni into the pizza sauce.
And then added the best part of all, CHEESE!!!!
While the cheesy deliciousness melted, I then sliced up the bread for dunking! There are many other things you can dunk, but since I' was dealing with someone who claims to be a fondu hater, I stuck with the basic, most pizza-ish dunker of all.
And just like that I had a Pizza Fondu! Total hit if I don't say so myself! I actually got hubby to say he would eat it again!
