Omg! Where do I even start with this post?!?! So much awesomeness to tell y'all & so many pictures to share that you will literally feel like you were with me. I guess I will start out by saying thankyou to Ringling Bros for inviting us out for a night full of fun in Pittsburgh. There show "Legends" is now touring the US and I couldn't have been more thrilled to receive an email inviting my Lil'Princess to come see the show. My daughter has been watching circus YouTube videos ever since I told her that some of the zoo animals also live at the circus, so this invite really couldn't have come at a better time. Haylie just loves all things animal & finally being 3, this would also be a huge test for our family to see if she really could handle a real show. Being a blogger in a smallish area, I get invited to a lot of events because, well minus a handful of others, I'm it for local bloggers lol. I turn down a lot of really cool invites because I just don't know if my child would stay interested in whatever it is. My worst nightmare would be to be someplace totally awesome & have my toddler hate the event. How do I write up that kind of review? Sorry your show totally rocked but my impatient toddler wants to wander because well #ToddlerLife? I rather just avoid all that nonsense! & before one of you "know it all" moms cues in with kids need to get use to things to like things etc....We actually have been everywhere from Seaworld to Legoland, you name it we have probably been there. My child is a travel guru & so well behaved! But regardless of her fantastic behavior, we always encountered the same issue when taking her to cool things. No matter how excited my child would be to be somewhere, her attention span was like 5 minutes. Any live "show" longer than that and Ughhh.... She would want to get out of her seat... Or even worse.... Ask for her iPad *facepalm*... Like who asks for an iPad at Disney?!?! WHO?!?! But this time was different! We got to the circus & she actually went to her seat! And even better... She sat THE ENTIRE TIME!!!!! Didn't even ask for the stupid iPad once. Victory was ours!!!! More things like this coming to the blog soon folks. Haylie gave us the green light. She grew up ;-) Haylie's all time favorite part was the lions & tigers! We are a total cat family so this took me by no surprise at all. The look on her face when she saw not only 1 large kitty, but amillion.... Priceless :) Wish we could of brought them all home for her. My favorite part had to be the elephants! When I think circus I think elephants & honestly I couldn't believe how many elephants they actually had in the show. Pretty sweet to see 5 when you were only expecting 1 or 2! And for all you circus haters, I've got some news for you! Ringling Bros has the largest and only sustainable herd of Asian elephants in the Western Hemisphere. The Ringling Bros also own the Ringling Bros. Center for Elephant Conservation which is located in Central Florida. Twenty-nine elephants currently live there, and 13 more will join the group by 2018, after Ringling Bros. decided this year to stop using elephants in its traveling circus. So yay for all you animal rights people & yay for me & Haylie for being able to see the elephants before they retire to the conservation. And next we have a little trapeze action!!! What would a circus be without a trapeze show? Always a highlight of any type of circusy event! Those peeps have some serious talent that's for sure. Next we will add another kitty picture because we are a cat family & the more kitty pics, the better right ;-) Rawrrrrrr Are you a doggie kinda fam? The circus has some pretty talented pooches as well! Now on to the motorcycles. This for some reason made my daughter laugh nonstop!!!! She was non stop giggles the entire time these dudes rode there bikes round and round. The funny thing is the kiddos behind us were giggling as well, so it must be a toddler thing! What age would I say is the perfect age to attend? Really any! I saw infants all the way up to senior citizens in the audience. If you have a sorta behaved super young one, go ahead and take them! The circus is as kid friendly as it gets. All parents, so a little fussiness will probably go unnoticed. For my daughter, 3 really was the perfect age. Old enough not to wiggle & also old enough to sorta know what was going on so she didn't need me to narrate the whole show. Is The Circus Coming To My City? Good news is you can see Legends now- April 2016. Click the link below to see if they are coming to a city near you :) Ringling Bros Circus Schedule How Long Is The Circus? I wasn't even planning on writing this in, but I have been asked by many people on my social pages, so I thought I would add this info for y'all :) The first half is about an hour long. They then take an intermission, which at first sounds horrible, like who likes intermissions?!?! But with little ones, perfect for a potty break ;-) Then the 2nd half starts and goes for about another hour. Just long enough to feel you got your money's worth, but not to long for your child to get antsy. My Review
Honestly I couldn't have had a better evening with my lil'family! My daughter had so much fun that we have been joking the past few days that she's going to run away from home and join the circus! I mentioned above that we have been fortunate to take Haylie many fantastic places all over the country, but she is currently acting like the circus is the best thing she has ever done in her life. Her preschool teachers & friends even know Haylie went to the circus because she liked it that much that everyone had to know she went lol.... The only negative thing I can think of, but it kind of turns to a positive....We were obviously given complementary tickets to share all this fabulousness with you, but when looking at the price per ticket online.... It did sound kind of pricey at first. The exact show we went to was $75 a person, but after thinking about it & realizing all the money Ringling Bros must use to take care of there animals & to fund the Elephant Conservation, not a bad price at all! I would rather shell out afew extra dollars knowing the animals are taken care of for life. I don't know, just peace of mind I guess. You just don't know if you were to attend some dinky little traveling circus how the animals are treated. Where do there elephants retire? So I guess it is safe to say this family agrees that the Ringling Bros Legends show really is the greatest show on earth! The Recommended Posts widget will appear here on the published site.

It seems like all the stuff comes through here Pittsburgh at one time and then all the entertainment news is gone. We used to do this and then it just seems like I have not heard about it. I am glad you had fun.

We just saw this show in Pittsburgh last night! The first half kept my 3 year olds attention but when intermission came, she thought the show was over and wanted to go home. Needless to say, the second half wasn't as enjoyable and thank God we had box seats so she could run around and I could still enjoy the rest of show. Like you, I will be watching for things to take my little one to now since she did very much enjoy it!

Looks like a wonderful show. I have never been to a big top circus before. I am glad to hear the Ringling Brothers have decided to stop using elephants in their traveling show. I love the trapeze arts and that is why I am a fan of Cirque du Soleil. I am glad that you and your family had a great time.

Oh my gosh I'm so jealous right now!! I love Ringling Brothers - growing up my mom always took my sister and I to the shows. There are not many circus' out there that can match it but they never seem to come near where I live now. If they ever do I'm so there!
