Holy smokes!!!!! How is it already April?!?! That means we are a few short weeks away from Easter, which means SPRING BREAK here in NY!!!! Not sure what type of fun your family likes do dabble in during this break from all things school related, but our little fam likes to hit the open roads. No better feeling than exploring a totally new destination with the ones you love making memories that will last a lifetime.
The first thing you will want to check off that to-do list before planning that epic family road trip is making sure your vehicle is in tip top road trip shape! You will want to cover all the basics like clean and vacuum out your car, check your tire pressure, make sure your oil and break fluid levels are decent and replace that
Show of hands, who had no idea what a FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter was until I started rambling on about them?! No need to be embarrassed, a lot of consumers, myself included, weren't even aware that this product existed, nevertheless needed to be changed annually or every 12000 miles! Follow recommended change intervals as noted in your vehicle owner’s manual. Changing your cabin air filter can give you peace of mind in knowing you are helping to keep your family safe and healthy during the many hours they spend inside the car.
Want to know a scary fact? The air inside your vehicle can be up to 6X's dirtier than the air outside!!! Can we say ewwwww?! Protect your Family with a FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter on that road trip adventure since this baby filters up to 98%* of dust, dirt and allergens from entering your vehicle. ~ Road dust and pollen particles ranging in size from 5-100 microns.
It's no secret that the natural deodorizing qualities of ARM & HAMMER® baking soda works wonders & I'm here to tell you that the FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter is the only cabin air filter that uses it!!! Contaminants that enter your vehicle with outside air can become concentrated, exposing passengers to higher levels of dust, dirt and allergens than outside the car. FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filters really are the best choice for keeping the air inside your car as clean as possible and can safeguard your family against dirt dust and allergens.
Believe it or not, installation is easy peasy! Yes, even for a high maintenance gal like myself. If it wasn't for the fact I had to do photography for this post, I could have replaced this filter myself sans hubby's extra set of hands ;-)
Depending on your vehicle, you will replace your FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter under the hood like in hubby's Jeep, or through the glove compartment! Once you find the spot your air filter is located, you simply just lift the covering attached to your vehicle up & snap your filter into place. It really is that simple!
Each vehicle does take a specific size FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter and you can easily look up that part number on walmart.fram.com! The website FRAMFreshBreeze.com is also an awesome resource and provides a texting feature which allows your search results (installation videos and part number) to be sent to your phone for easy recall of your search results!!!
The best part of all?!?! You can pick up a FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter on your next trip to Walmart! You know you will be heading to Walmart to pick up those last minute items for that road trip, so head to the auto section, look for the Air Filters sign & toss one in your cart!
For more info on why a FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter needs to be on your next road trip shopping list, just click away here.
Getting your vehicle in tip top shape isn't the only thing you need to worry about before hitting the open road. You will also want to be prepared for anything and everything!!!
Traveling with kids?! Make sure you have plenty of snacks, drinks, entertainment items & do not forget that car tablet charger since that tablet is sure to die eventually!!! I'm a huge fan of books, coloring books & crayons for entertainment when that tablet is charging. You will want to be prepared for emergencies as well, so do not forget those cell phones, chargers, jumper cables & a spare car key! Do not pull a me and lock your keys in your car in an unknown city and have to call AAA to save the day!!! Not only is it embarrassing, it will put you behind schedule and put a damper on your epic road trip. Be prepared!
To help you get your vehicle ready for that Spring Break road trip, I have included a printable list of all the items you will want to pack! I even included blank lines at the very bottom for you to add any miscellaneous items specific to your family's needs! Just click the download link below and this printable is yours for free :)

This is an amazing checklist. We don't usually do much driving, however, I'm getting a feeling this summer that will change. I love the idea of making sure the car is cleaned out... I desperately need to do that :) Thanks for sharing :)

Haha, I will never forget the time a mechanic asked twenty-something me if I wanted to replace my air filter and my exact response was "I have no idea what you're talking about." Love your checklist!

Love this! I will be using this when we go on our trip to Kansas City this fall. We love taking the boys to KC since it's only a 2.5 hour drive away. This is great for people to use and make sure they have everything.

I can't really imagine needing a passport on the road trip but I guess that's just because of where I live. Living in the states and going on a road trip doesn't usually involve passports although I suppose it could.

That bit about locking the keys in the car had me laughing out loud. I'm totally the girl who has locked her keys in the car at a gas station - once I even did it while my little one was sleeping in a car seat in the back, and had to call the police to come get me back into the car. What a mess.
