 Hello y'all! September has seriously been a weird month for me. Ever since leaving Florida for NY afew years back, every autumn, I fall into this anti-social, anxiety filled, hermit like rut! Swear I should of never left the south because I can't handle cold weather and the change of seasons. Makes me literally ill lol. So ill, I even canceled plans to head out to a winery with one of my favieeee bloggy friends on Friday. Yeah that's right, I chose sitting at home with my cat over drinking wine with friends! Definitely not feeling like my self since wine and friends are like my favoritest things ever. (Yes favoritest is a word ;-) ) And then Saturday morning the mailman brought me this beyond fabulous "Casual Dress" from the online store Romwe. The name kinda cracks me up because it's the furthest thing from casual to me. If I were to rock this to school drop off or run errands, people here in WNY would be eye balling me like crazy, and not in a hey you look good way, but rather the do you need a straight jacket to go along with that dress kinda way. .  This dress was exactly what I needed in my life! I know it's silly, but this fun and colorful dress made me happy. Made me think of the many mimosas I have enjoyed sitting at cafes on Ocean Drive in SoBe. Made me think of this past summer and all the fun my daughter and I had exploring everyplace we could here in NY since we will most likely be back in Florida by this time next year. So funny how one simple piece of clothing could change my entire mood, for at least a day anyway. I did my hair and makeup for the first time in about a week & played fashion blogger model with my phone! So fun & I finally felt like myself again. I guess all I really needed was some good ole fashion and makeup in my life to bring out the girl that had gone missing! Now lets just hope she stays for awhile hehehehe ;-)  Like this fabulous dress?!?! I was born and raised in the North East part of the US and I HATE COLD WEATHER!! I don't know why anyone would leave the South to move up here. Granted.. It is beautiful, but all of our US is beautiful... or most of it. Anyway.. rant done. 9/27/2015 08:15:38 am

What a fantastic dress! Sometimes a nice outfit in bright colors is all you need to have a better outlook on life. Hope you are feeling better and find someplace fun to wear this dress out and about. I am from NY and you are entitled to your opinion yes it definitely has seasons but I am sure if you really tried you would find great ways to enjoy. I really like the "Bohemian" look of this dress, but you're right I wouldn't be wearing it to drop off kids to school! lol...I'm certain I could find an appropriate occasion to go out wearing it though!

Ah I moved from Florida to Michigan for awhile and never did get used to it. I am back in FL now and happy. :) The dress looks amazing! I'm glad it came and made you happy. :)

I totally get you and that feeling of just wanting to stay home. I'm not a fan of cold weather myself but I could have some of it when traveling. Lol. I've had a couple friends who've been told they have "seasonal depression," where basically their doctor explained it's fairly common for people to struggle with sleep, anxiety, anti-social tendencies, feeling unmotivated, etc. for a short period of time during certain seasons. I totally get it though! I don't know if seasons has anything to do with my ruts, but I definitely go through them! Love the dress.

Yeah, you would totally have to wear something over the top half when dropping the kids off at school. Okay. I'm getting eager for fall and everyone here is acting like I'm insane. So, suffice it to say, I'm a little nervous for what's to come (apparently I'm about a 6 hour drive North of you or something). Anyways, the dress is STUNNING!!!! Like, totally stunning! It's funny how sometimes its the simplest things (like a new dress) that can snap us out of a funk and put a smile on our face. I hope this fall and winter are better than expected for you.
