Last Tuesday my husbands grandparents wanted to meet for dinner, so we went to there favorite spot, Friendly's. Not going to lie, ever since last year when Friendly's re-did there menu & got rid of my Asian Chicken Salad I just absolutely loved, I haven't really been a fan of the place, so I really wasn't looking forward to dinner lol.
But my opinion totally changed the second I read the kids menu looking for a meal for my daughter and saw,
Sharks In The Water!
This had to be the coolest drink I had ever seen on a kids menu and I totally had to order it, FOR MYSELF lol. Best decision I ever had too because it was beyond delicious!
I went home that night searching the interwebs for a copycat recipe, only to find out that Friendly's uses a Blue Raspberry Sprite, which does't really exist :-/ The restaurant has one of those fancy Coke machines where you can pour syrup into soda & that's how they get Blue Raspberry :-/
I did however find out that Blue Mountain Dew exist so this weekend I went and bought supplies to make Sharks In The Water using blue dew, which is a fantastic alternative & I will so be making these again for pool parties, but the blue raspberry sprite at Friendly's is definitely better.
Just wish I would of discovered these afew days sooner because these would of made the most epic Shark week drinks!
Hope you enjoy :):)
Step 3 will make the drink turn purple, but Friendly's does give you a shot of grenadine next to your blue drink to pour in when you're ready to drink, and it totally makes the drink! Do not skip this step if you want the tastiest drink ever ;-)
