Living in Western New York, BBQ restaurants aren’t exactly popping up on every corner. We're mostly about chicken wings, hot dogs and fast food.

Western New York might just be where I call home these days, but being the girl who was born in Texas and lived in the south most of her life, I’m always craving that good ole bbq!! Nothing better than a big ole plate of ribs, brisket or even some yummy pulled pork! I can’t help but drool just thinking about it!

So, when I stumble upon bbq up north, you best believe I become a regular!!! My regular bbq spot? Smokey Bones Erie, Pennsylvania!!

About Smokey Bones

At Smokey Bones, we specialize in three things: good food, good drinks, and good times. We are a bar and fire grill, but not necessarily in that order. We are grill masters who respect the power of the open flame. We like simple, yet flavorful recipes and believe marinating is not to be taken lightly. We know medium-rare isn’t the only way to cook a steak, but believe it should be. We believe pork should be slow smoked and pulled often. Slow, as in 11 hours over hickory logs every night, and often, as in every day at every restaurant. We know it’s our bartenders who make our drinks great, not the liquor. Although the liquor doesn’t hurt. We think beer should be ice cold and consumed regularly. We know our servers bring much more than food to the table. We are big fans of sports, loud music, and surprises. And we believe in laughing often, especially at ourselves.

The Menu

Now the menu does have many enticing mouth watering options. It’s almost too hard to decide which entree to order!!! Thank god Smokey Bones Erie Pennsylvania offers Create Your Own Combos or I would have been sitting there all night playing Eney, meeny, miny, moe!

The Bar

Call me crazy, but nothing is better than pairing your bbq with an ice cold beer!!! Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill has a full bar and features many ice cold beers and even wines for those in the mood for some vino!!!! I opted for a hard root beer!!! Bbq sauce and root beer just pair so perfectly to me!!! Yum!!

Appetizers

Living in Western New York, we felt like we had to give the wings a try! Our waitress at Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill highly recommend them, so we took that as a good sign that they would not disappoint.

The wings ended up being so good, that we will definitely be coming back to Smokey Bones in a Monday!

Entrees

Since I was having the hardest time narrowing my dinner down, I decided to opt for the Smokey Bones Create Your Own Combo! Smokey Bones Ribs were amazing and I just loved Smokey Bones Brisket!!!

My husband decided to try the Smokey Bones Create Your Own Entree as well! We went with chicken fingers, brisket & turkey. He wanted all foods he could test out and try all of the Smokey Bones Bbq sauces with.

Kids Menu

The kids menu is loaded with options like burgers, chicken fingers , and my daughters favorite – pizza!!!! Love it when restaurants actually serve “kid friendly” foods! Nothing drives me more insane than a kids menu loaded with options kids won’t go near! All kids love pizza and fingers!!!!
