Whoever came up with the awesome idea of Indoor water parks.... I love you!!!! Born in TX & living many, many years in Central Florida, I honestly never really thought about places like this since the sun is shinning pretty much all year long. Now living in NY, omg....lifesaver!!! Indoor waterparks can be a beyond fabulous weekend getaway when the chilly weather has the kiddos going stir crazy or any time you want a family vacation without the expense of getting on a plane. We were recently invited out to Splash Lagoon in Erie Pa, a short 45 minute ride from where we reside in NY & let me tell you, my princess was behind excited to spend her 3rd birthday splashing around one of America's Top Indoor Water Parks! I was showing her videos I would search on YouTube the days following up to the trip & I never saw her so happy & excited about something. Splash Lagoon allows guests to swirl down nine water slides, climb the Tree Tops Ropes Course, relax in the Lazy River, spin in the new Aqua Tumbler & play in the Treasure Island Arcade & Lazer Tag. And I have to give our families mutual favorite part of Splash Lagoon it's own section! The Wave Pool is the largest wave pool in the Eastern United States. Pretty AWESOME if you ask me!!! They even have a rack of life jackets you can use for free for your kiddos. Hubby & the birthday Princess spent a lot of time jumping the waves while I sat in one of the many lounge chairs sipping on various fruity cocktails from the Island Oasis Tiki Bar. If you have a lil'one like I do, they will absolutely love the Kids Activity Area. This large pool is equipped with mini slides & even "baby"swings similar to baby playground swings that are just there size. My princess loved this area & went back and forth from this area to the wave pool. It might be because living in the south for years has made me jaded to all things water, but this area is pretty similar to a lot of the splash pads in southern towns. The Splash pad in Trophy Club where my parents live might actually be a tad bit more exciting & it's free. It's not hard to impress toddlers though so the area will work ;-) Hungry? Well Splash Lagoon has many fabulous food options! Weather you are after a slice of pizza, a beer, an ice cream cone, candy, or maybe a nice sit down dinner, they have all the dinning options your family might need right there! No need to leave the property. I totally recommend drinking a coconut drinkie :-) Daily rates are pretty average too! Wish I would of known 2 year olds were free before our visit because we so would of made the trip along time ago ;-) If you have a kiddo that's alittle more adventurous, or if you & your hubby are big kids at heart, you can always add on some pretty sweet thrills for afew dollars more! We didn't try any of these activities since we were with a toddler & doing them solo didn't sound that great, but they did look pretty fun :):) Still looking for a spring break getaway?!? Well it's not too late!!! Killer $80 deal going on right now! A $60 savings!!!!

I love an indoor water park. I love playing in the water, but I hate remembering to put on sunscreen and getting burned. None of that when you're indoors!

I LOVE waterparks! I grew up in Texas and we had Schlitterbahn. Omg... So much fun and then I moved to Cali and of course had all that water and now in the Midwest. Yup. Smack dab center of the US with no beaches. Makes me want to look into water parks around here.

I found waterparks to be very expensive for what you get. I think my kids would love it though.

Indoor water parks are nice even in Texas. Once it gets to be a billion degrees outside, it's too hot to do anything outside!

This looks like so much fun. I wish we had one close to us. My kids would love it. There is an outdoor one about two hours away that the kids love to go to in the summer.

We need one of these in south Florida. During the summer it is too hot to go to water parks because the concrete is really hot still. We have little splash playgrounds, but wow, this indoor water park looks amazing!

We have something similar here in Tennessee and took my son there for his birthday last year. We had the most fun hands down of any place we have visited so far.

I'm a big fan of the indoor water parks too. My son and teen daughter both love to go, and it's hard to find things they both like the same amount now that the teen is older.

Waterparks are so much fun! We have an indoor splash park (probably different company) about an hour's drive from us. Definitely enticing during the winter months, particularly this winter when we saw subzero weather.

I've never been to an indoor water park, but I love the idea! I'm so fair skinned it's silly, and I burn way too easily, but I LOVE goofing off on water slides and stuff. I wonder if there are any of these near my home...
