*I received a free trip in exchange for a review. No other compensation was given* Whoever came up with the awesome idea of Indoor water parks, I love you!!!! Born in TX & living many, many years in Central Florida, I honestly never really thought about places like this since the sun is shining all year long. Now living in WNY & having a child who would live the mermaid life & never leave the water if I let her, omg.... these resorts are a lifesaver!!! There's no better place for year-round fun than indoor waterparks when WNY's famous not-so-pleasant weather has y'all going stir crazy. Want a family vacation without the expense of getting on a plane? Then indoor waterparks might be for you too. Lucky for us we just happen to have Splash Lagoon located 45 minutes from our house & were fortunate enough to be invited out to spend the weekend with them! Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort, where it's always 84 degrees! That's right, a 45 minute drive from Jamestown to a tropical paradise! Located on Upper Peach Street in Erie, Pa., Splash Lagoon is Pennsylvania's #1 year-round tourist attraction, featuring eight water slides, a lazy river, slides and pools for little kids, hot tubs, a treetops ropes course, Lazer Tag, a family arcade, sweet shop, surf shop, and one of the largest indoor wave pools on the east coast! If you have a lil'one like I do, they will absolutely love the Kiddie Pool Area. This large pool is equipped with mini slides & even "baby"swings similar to baby playground swings that are just there size. My princess loved this area & went back and forth from this area to the wave pool. Now on to our families mutual favorite part of Splash Lagoon! The Wave Pool & it just happens to be one of the largest wave pools in the Eastern United States. Pretty AWESOME if you ask me!!! They even have a rack of life jackets you can use for free so your kiddos can float safe! Hubby & my daughter spent a lot of time jumping the waves while I took a well deserved break & sat in one of the many lounge chairs sipping on various fruity cocktails from the Soggy Dollar Bar. And here are a few of our fabulous family moments you might remember from my Instagram!!! My daughter was literally having the time of her life. She cried each time we left the park to head back to the room for a break. Normally a tantrum like that would annoy me, but on a trip like this, it was a sure sign she was having fun! Hungry? Well Splash Lagoon has many fabulous food options! Whether you are after a quick slice of pizza, a beer, an ice cream cone, candy, or maybe a nice sit down dinner, they have all the dining options your family might need right there! No need to leave the property. We chose to try out the sit down option, Hooch & Blotto's Sports Bar & Grill because they just happened to have two of my favorite things, steak & wine & my daughters, pizza! Hooch & Blotto's Sports Bar & Grill also includes a state-of-the-art bowling lounge, a fun Prohibition theme, and an extensive craft beer list for all the hubby's out there! Wanting to make your water park trip into a staycation? Then stay in one of three hotels directly connected to the water park. Overnight packages always include tickets to the water park! We were hooked up with a room at the Residence Inn. With a gorgeous pool, fitness center & free morning hot breakfast, we left the hotel rather impressed! Our two bedroom suite at the Residence Inn had it's own full sized kitchen, little dinning area & a fireplace in the living room. The couch even folds out into an additional bed. Hubby and I got to talking and came to the conclusion that these rooms are actually a killer deal! You could easily take a weekend with another family & share one of these fabulous rooms. Plenty of room for all. Hotel bathrooms are a deal breaker for me! I have stayed at some 5 star resorts overseas with shady bathrooms & when asked if I enjoyed my stay by others, the gross bathrooms are all I can think about. I am a legit clean freak & the thought of germs just freak me out. I am happy to say the Residence Inn bathrooms pass my cleanliness test. Granite countertops & BOTH bathrooms had jacuzzi tubs. Your kiddos will definitely be sleeping in the next morning after a day at the park & then playtime in the jacuzzi tub! The bedrooms at the Residence Inn are cute and clean! With a split floor plan & both bathrooms being attached to each bedroom, again makes this room a fabulous option for those traveling with others. Splash Lagoon is ranked in the top 10 Indoor Water Park Resorts in the country by USA TODAY and after our weekend trip I totally see why!!! Honestly I cannot think of one bad thing about this place & I'm a hard one to impress since I spent a big chunk of my life living in the amusement park capital, Orlando!! Splash Lagoon has something fun for all regardless if you a one or one hundred. If you would like more information fell free to visit www.splashlagoon.com or call 1-866-3-SPLASH :):) So let's chat!

I just love indoor water parks! Here in WI it can be too cold to splash around in July or even August sometimes. We are lucky to have the Wisconsin Dells so close. So many indoor water park options! This one looks very cool.

You're right, whoever came up with this is a genius. Indoor pools are highly recommended for families, it's a great way to take the kids swimming without having to travel so far away from home. It's like a quick fix. This is one of the best I've seen so far, I love their rooms too!

Being from Texas myself, I totally understand never considering the need for an INDOOR water park. However, now that you live in New York, yes, I can definitely understand the need for such a thing up there. It does look nice and it sounds like you all had a great time. Personally, I will always be partial to the original Schlitterbahn water park in New Braunfels. Its only about a 90 minute drive for us, so we make a day trip of it at least 2 or 3 times every summer.

I think indoor water parks are great ideas, especially for areas that don't have summer year round. I do live in Florida, but I think they would be a good idea here for rainy days or days you don't feel like applying sunscreen every hour!

I LOVE Marriot hotels! I have never stayed in a bad one, great chain. And indoor water parks are the bomb (do people still say that? oh well, I'm saying it). It's so great to be able to enjoy everything even when the weather isn't cooperating, that one looks really nice! What a fun time!

Indoor waterparks are such a great idea! Living in Idaho, I'm surprised there aren't more of them, because the winters here get so cold, and our summers are so short, but alas.... we are just stuck in our houses all winter :( I wish we had a place like this, because it looks like so much fun! I know my kids would love it!
