As most of you know before I became CourtneyLynne the "blogger extraordinaire here at The Trophy WifeStyle, I was a model. In a lot of ways I feel modeling and blogging are very similar & that's why I kinda had an edge on the whole monetizing blogging thing when I first started out. What takes newbies months & sometimes even years to figure out, I kinda already knew since both bloggers and models book gigs the same exact way. How? We work with PR & ad agencies based on our fabulousness. Bloggers there sites, models themselves. At the end of my modeling career I was a spokes model for more brands than you can imagine & you bloggers coming to my booths at shows/conferences at Disney Swan and Orange County Convention Center in Orlando are the people who inspired me to take my spokes modeling skills to the Internet once I completely retired from modeling. Long story short, models rule the advertising world in the physical world & bloggers rule the advertising world on the Internet ;-) You see blogger and models really are the same! Together we make the brands what they are. They wouldn't exist with us! Unfortunately for me, launching my blog based on who I was in the modeling world ment not changing the ways you contact me. That's why you see half of my social channels as my actual name. They are a continuation of my modeling marketing. The main way these brand PR folks contact you however is via email. I want all those same brands I worked with as a model to contact me for blogging work, meaning keeping my same email address as well! My email address is over 10 years old so just imagine how crazy cluttered my email can look some days! 10+ years of handing out my email address to anyone who ever asked means I literally wake up to hundreds of emails some days. Are half of those emails even necessary? Hell no! But how do I know what's crap & what's not? The answer? unroll.me! Now, with Unroll.Me for iOS you can unsubscribe from unwanted emails and combine the rest into a once daily email digest called “The Rollup”. Unroll.Me is a fast, simple, and FREE solution for you. The funniest thing about all of this is before unroll.me contacted me about writing a post, I just happened to be scrolling through Facebook on day afew weeks back & I noticed a little ad for Unroll.Me. They claimed it was an easy way to declutter your inbox. I was obviously intrigued. I had often thought how awesome it would be if there was a way to to unsubscribe from all my unnecessary email clutter I've collected over the years all at once, but just didn’t think it was possible. And here was this company saying it possible – So obviously I clicked the link and gave Unroll me a try! I myself had 1300+ email subscriptions when I first used unroll.me, but for the sake of this review I will use hubby's screenshot. I couldn’t believe it. Sure, I’ve had the same email address for over 10 years now, but still, that number shocked me. Hubby's email account only had 204. So, yeah, I had a huge email problem lol. After clicking a few buttons and deciding on what I wanted to keep and get rid of (took about 20 minutes), I was done. Just like that I had unsubscribed from about 900 emails. And I didn’t even get to mention the best part – it was all FREE!! Then, I found something else kinda incredible that Unroll.Me does for you. RollUp! HERE’S WHAT TO DO WITH NEWSLETTERS YOU WANT TO KEEP BUT DON’T WANT TO SEE IN YOUR INBOX Seems a bit odd, I know. But there is a line between I love getting this email, and I never want to hear from this person or company ever again. Thankfully, Unroll.Me understands that. They created a feature called Rollup that lets you combine whatever emails you want into one simple and easy to digest email. If you want to read the full email, you can click on it. Here’s a picture of one my Rollups So what are my final thoughts after using UNROLL.ME?
If I had one complaint about the Unroll.Me app, it would be this. They didn’t prepare me for the emptiness I would feel opening up my gmail and only seeing a handful of emails. I know, wtf?!?! But it’s totally strange for me now. I check my email habitually waiting to hear back & apply for sponsored post and am used to skimming threw so much clutter hoping that clutter is the email Ive been waiting for. Now, I can go hours with only receiving 4 or 5 emails total. I guess that’s what happens when you unsubscribe from almost 1000 emails lol. Just read about this elsewhere and like I said there, for now Gmail works well for me. If and when it doesn't - then I might consider this.

I love this idea - but I heard they do not actually unsubscribe you. They just gather the emails and hoard them. As a blogger, I hate when my open rate is just so low because people just junk them. I would rather them actually unsubscribe. I take the time and actually do that (usually in batches). If this actually unsubscribed it would be great.

Ooohhh, I am SO curious to know how many subscriptions I've enrolled to so far. I actually "killed" an email account a few years ago because it was nothing but subscription junk and all the emails I wanted to read got lost. And I didn't entirely learn my lesson, as I have 40,000 unread emails to go through in my current account. #Oops I'm totally going to check Unroll.Me!

Now this is something that I could really use. I have had a gmail account for many years and no matter how I try, I can'ts seem to clean it up. It would be great to just see the important things again.

Haha I have an email address that I just pretty much stopped using because it got so out of hand with junk emails! I kept trying to hack away at it and I felt like I was getting no where. As fast as I could delete, just as many were coming in! I will look into this...maybe it can save my old email!
